Name: City: South Boston Sent: 02/28 04:54 PM I am very interested in an IT. I just want an IT owner's opinion on if it's the right dog for me. I love these dogs, but have never known anyone who has had one. We had a border terrier my entire life at home. Hands down the greatest dog in the world. He passed away, I moved out, got married and purchased an English Bulldog. Big mistake, my wife had a very hard time with our 2 kids and a bully trying to take over the house. Is the IT ok for me? I sure hope so. I have a very small yard, and 2 kids (ages 8, and 2), but I work at night and my wife works in the day. The dog would be home alone, about 5 hours a day Mon-Fri. I literally live seconds away from the beach and many parks. I love to walk, and I love this dog! Name: City: Mission Viejo, CA Sent: 02/22 08:44 PM We were lucky enough to find our IT at the local pound. that was well over a year ago, we are looking for another adoptable friend, if you might know of any please return our e-mail. Next time we visit your site we'll send you a photo of our bold little general. Name: City: Springfield, VA Sent: 02/02 10:04 AM I lost my Border Terrier almost 2 years ago. Name: City: Silver City, NM 88061 Sent: 01/13 10:36 PM Stephanie, I am a professional groomer but my life is living/loving dogs and, specifcally terriers. Lost my cherished Min Schnauz. 3 years ago at the age of 16 and I miss the feist that comes with loving a terrier. My sweet, dignified Borzoi keeps me loving life and mountains but she is 13 yrs. old and I begin to dread her parting. Please keep me in mind with a future litter that you might have. Sincerely, Lori Skinner Name: City: Guntersville, AL Sent: 01/11 03:49 PM I had a pair of ITs as a child MANY years ago. My great uncle raised them and also judged shows. In the years since our family has had many dogs but never another IT. Currently we have an elderly golden retriever whose days are numbered. Now that our youngest children are teenagers I feel that I have time to devote to an IT. We live on a farm with plenty of room to play. Do you know of any female ITs available now or in the near future? Name: City: Boston Sent: 12/31 11:11 AM I have spent a good deal of time around an Airdale and although I like the breed I have come to believe that the Irish may be a better match for me. Your site has helped tremendously. Name: Homepage: http://soccermom4u.blogsite.org City: Dullsville Sent: 12/22 07:08 PM Come Visit my site and see what bored soccer moms get up to - LOL! Name: Homepage: http://www.karpstyles.com Sent: 11/20 07:56 PM Just trying to find out the average size of a terrier so that I know how big knitted dog sweaters need to be. Name: City: Townsville, Australia Sent: 11/10 05:58 AM We have a 19 week old male pup who is an absolute joy! His ear has dropped and our breeder advised referring to your pages and letting her know our choice so she can help. Unfortunately she is some 1200 odd kilometres from us! Never had a dog before and researched many breeds before choosing an Irish. Best decision we ever made! Easily distracted, not real good with commands but the happiest little fellow ever! Name: City: Christchurch, NZ Sent: 11/07 01:18 AM We have the opportunity to adopt a 5 yr old male irish terrier ude to his owners moving overseas. He has been a family pet and we ourselves have 2 daughter 5 and 7. Do you think he would adapt to a new family? I wanted to check this out before we say yes. Name: City: Hot Springs, SD Sent: 11/05 08:18 AM We have wanted a Irish Terrier for a long time and will be ready for one next spring. We live on 6 acres, have plenty of room and love! Please contact us it your having a litter this winter. Thanks Name: City: grenzach-wyhlen, germany Sent: 11/02 05:42 AM Thank You: These are very instructive pages for a new owner of an Irish Terrier. Finding them before adopting an IT puppy may lead to an affliction of doubts for a first-time dog owner. However, at the age of six month our male IT is a relatively relaxed companion - given that the "status exercises" are done, much bigger than standard size, and a very good player- and runner-with. Compared to other dogs in dog-school it's not easy to keep his attention, he's distracted easily. If anybody has a good suggestion for his distraction - please send! Again, thanks for these very useful infromations (ear training, grooming etc.) and the love you have for these dogs. Best Regards, Matthias Name: City: Wheaton, IL Sent: 10/31 05:49 PM We rescued a 3 year old Irish Terrier about two years ago. I really appreciate an informative web site that is also friendly. I especially enjoy your comments regarding what makes the Irish Terriers a unique breed. Thank you. John Name: City: Toronto, Ontario, CANADA Sent: 10/18 04:38 PM See my comments above. Would you know of a groomer in the Detroit, Michigan area who can groom an irish terrier. We would be willing to travel some distance if we could get her professionally groomed.
