I was online looking for resources to help my 6 yr old daughter in her reading. She is in kindergarten but reading at least 2nd semester 1st grade. What a wonderful site you have! A great deal of info- it will be a terrific resource for us. Thanks so much! Name: City: West Plains, Missouri Sent: 11/12 00:20 I recently viewed your webste and shared it with my fellow 1st grade insructors at West Plains Elementary. All of our sections have planned our Polar Express Units starting with the students' own "train ride." Our computer lab printed some special tickets which they will find underneath their seats. Another teacher extended our pajama day with a 2" silver bell, which she pulled from the pocket of her robe and told her first graders that she had traveled on the polar express once and found the bell in her pocket. She then rang the bell for all to hear! I shared information about your wonderful class photos of the children as they embarked on their polar adventure. Thank you for the wonderful ideas! From Rachel Name: City: Portland, OR Sent: 26/10 18:00 Dear Mrs. McGowan, My name is Ann Berton and I am interning in a 3rd grade class at Arleta Elementary in Portland, Or. My mentor, Martha Gross had her class participate with your class several years ago when you had a winter poem website. I will be starting a short poetry unit in early December where we will do acrostic Winter poems. I am wondering if you are going to be doing a Winter poem project again that our class could participate in. Your collaborative projects are a wonderful way to involve and engage the students. Please let me know if you will be doing more. Thanks, Ann Berton Name: Homepage: http://wtv-zone.com/gjz/patriotic.html City: Brooklyn NY Sent: 25/10 18:44 I found your website at Google.
