To make hotlinked images show up as something else, like say... gay porn, you need a module for .htaccess called MOD_rewrite to be enabled. When I asked if it could installed, The question got ignored because the techs seemed more annoyed at my feeble attempts to make secondary FTP accounts able to upload to the main site. bad tubby, no allowed to play with CHmod appearantly. Anyway, the rewrite command is most favoured by people who run sites for its punishment abilities (and simpler coding), but since I can't use it I need to 'allow' certain specific sites image access. It also means I can't get even with the fine folks of neopets by getting them banned with 'accidental' porn. So until I actually move servers, a red X or blue ? is all I can deliver to hotlinkers. ..or I could make everything a psd format so only people using Safari can view the images. I know some people who direct link wind up with "STOP STEALING BANDWITH FUCKERS" as images :o I don't know if they change the actual image or what, but it prevents it to some degree. And yeah.
