These schools, run by Vince Nicoll and assisted by Neil Finn, are educational, progressive, formatted and most importantly, fun. On both evenings the first team and reserve team train alongside the goalkeepers, and are complimentary, polite and helpful to the keepers. My son has been trained and played at a decent level, that has seen him at West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur, Dagenham & Redbridge and Barking, which has enabled him to advance to a considerable level. For the past five weeks, he has attended the Romford goalkeeping schools and has nothing but praise for all concerned and the welcome he has been afforded by all, since his first lesson, such has been his enjoyment, he has attended all ten lessons and has mentioned several times he wished it was at least three times a week. I believe for a fourteen year old boy, who has been constantly playing since the age of five, to still be enjoying his football, but to be honest with a new found enthusiasm is a credit to all involved at Romford Football Club. I would like to end by stating that my observations as an outsider,is that Romford Football Club, are a progressive, structured and community caring outfit that deserve all that they wish for.
