Hi, Christian. Good Luck with this. New York Ladies passing by Empire State against the sky I sit here and wonder why I'm feeling so alone while I'm without you Why am I so alone while I'm without you? But I agreed to fly - what was I doin'? Loneliness will be my ruin I'm gonna try and get home soon Then I won't be so alone while I'm without you I hate to be alone while I'm without you This city leaves me cold - there's nothing here Only noise that's in my ear And nighttime brings the constant fear That you're not so alone while I'm without you I hope you're so alone while I'm without you Repeat first five lines after instrumental break adding... I hate to be alone while I'm without you and I hope you're so alone while I'm without you Yes I hope you're so alone while I'm without you.

Hi everybody! Was just wondering if anyone could help me with the complete lyric for the song New York Ladies from Millstone Grit album. I have never heard that song but I have the tab for it and it seems very interresting and easy to play. By getting the lyric I could figure out how to play and sing it, I guess. Anyone who could help?

These are the chords for the song Party Pieces, the way I have figured it out, maybe not exactly accurate but you can play it this way. Any corrections are welcome... Remember to tune the guitar DADGAD before playing... Verse : 030030 020020 000200 Chorus : 555400 000200 333000

The First Les Cousins evening at Bush Hall was a very enjoyable one. Bush Hall is reasonably spacious, with chandeliers and a well-worn red carpet. There were a number of round tables spread throughout, which enable the moderate-sized audience to remain seated. The evening got off to a good start with the first gig by Mark Pavey's band, Behind the Sun. Mark opened with a fine solo version of Dear Prudence, and included an admirable Who Knows where the Time Goes in the set. Next onstage was Michael Chapman, who played for nearly an hour between 9 & 10 pm. Michael played ten songs, focusing largely on the outstanding material that he has produced in the last decade. The set-list was as follows: Memphis in Winter, That Time of Night, Instrumental, One Time Thing, Sometimes, The Mallard, Looking for Charlie in Nogales/It Ain't So/Sesimilia, and (encore)Soulful Lady. Michael told of how he came to write The Mallard…he was on a station, feeling about as low as he could get, when The shiny blue Mallard shot past and cheered him up. The Mallard is an outstanding song, both as a song of lost love & parting, and as a homage to the majestic steam-train (it’s sad that many people will not remember experiencing the legendary steam trains such as The Mallard and The Golden Arrow). The audience were quietly appreciative of Michael's set. However, they didn't seem to have a particularly responsive sense of humour, when it came to his between-songs chat. The evening concluded with Easy Tiger, who are keeping the spirit of rock 'n roll alive. Their lead singer (in tiger-skin jacket and white cowboy hat) is a good front man. Amazingly, the audience stayed seated throughout! I guess that because the evening was shared by three different acts, then the main appreciation was split three ways. Finally, it was good to chat with Michael as ever, and also to meet the two other Johns (one who came to Michael's previous London gig, and one who bought Live and Unhinged, last night). It was also good to meet the sound engineer on The Man Who Hated Mornings and Savage Amusement (who came with his son). It was the first time that he had met Michael for some 25 years!

I´m a little confused about the song Babe from Life On The Ceiling... While listening to Jackson C Frank´s Blues Run The Game 1965 I discovered that the same song is on his album but is called You Never Wanted Me. In booklet for Life On The Ceiling it says: all lyrics by Michael Chapman... Who wrote this song from the beginning? Chapman or Frank?
